Cu Chi Tunnels is an underground work which is built in the second world war. Its function is a defensive measure to take cover and conceal weapons from the enemies. It’s located in the west-north of Ho Chi Minh City and far from here 40km. There are a lot of rooms inside tunnel such as infirmary, bedrooms, kitchen, warehouse, workroom. The length of this defensive system is about 250km with many ventilations. In 2015, this tunnel had welcomed more than 20 million visitors to do sightseeing and learn about Vietnamese history.

Detailed Itinerary

Cu Chi Tunnels half day
In the morning, our bus, along with tour guide, will pick the tourist at the hotel and then move to Cu Chi tunnels. On the way to go there, the tourist will know more the story of this tunnels from a documentary film. This video will tell the stories about how to build this tunnel and how people can live in the hard conditions of the war time.


Next, the tourist will go inside the tunnels. Then, our tour guide will introduce clearly about the systems of tunnels deep underground, how the tunnel can withstand the destructive power of the bomb attack on the US military and the function of each room. There are 3 floors in this tunnel: the first floor is 3m deep, the second floor is 6m deep and the third one is 12m deep. While tourists are visiting the command center, tourists can have meals that the Viet Cong fighters had eaten like rice steamed tapioca and hot tea.

Next, the tour guide will introduce Hoang Cam smoke-less stove, secrets hide-outs, fighting bunkers, dangerous booby traps and rice paper workshop.

Finally, you can enjoy some special tea and cassava which is major food in the war and there is a break time to relax or try shooting a variety of Vietnam War era weapons.

Finish our tour, the bus will take tourist back to the hotel.
