About Hoi An

Hoi An Old Town is located 30km south of Danang City, and 130km south of Hue. Hoi An used to be an international trade center by sea on the east area in the 16th and 17th centuries. It was the busiest trading port in Dang Trong region of Vietnam during the reign of Nguyen as merchants from Japan, China, Portugal, Spain, Holland...often stopped over to exchange and purchase commodities. Hoi An was an important meeting place of many cultures, such as Champa, Vietnamese, Portuguese, Japanese and Chinese, and has been greatly impacted upon by Vietnamese and Chinese civilization.

In 1999, the old town was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO as a well-preserved example of a Southeast Asian trading port of the 15th to 19th centuries, with buildings that display a unique blend of local and foreign influences.


 First stop in the journey Hoi An to Hue is Marble mountain.

A cluster of five hills made from limestone and marble, Marble Mountain is famous for its own merits an awesome experience. The mountains (Ngu Hanh Son) consist of five craggy marble outcrops topped with pagodas.

Non nuoc village belongs to, Da Nang city. The Non Nuoc stone has been used since the middle of the 17th century. Stone can be found anywhere in the cave of Marble Mountain, this village is located at the foot of Marble Mountains. The products of village help beautify the Marble Mountains landscape.


The museum is home to the most extensive collection of Cham artifact. The pictorial legends, religious symbols…. all of these will convey to visitors about Vietnam history of eight centuries of evolution of Champa sculpture from its golden age to its decline. The museum is the unique place in Vietnam as well as in the world research about Champa culture. Artifacts displayed in the museum including sculpture arts such as reliefs, animals, human statue.

The Hai Van Pass: 19 kilometers of roadway that winds up and over a fortress of mountains, connecting Da Nang with the town of Lang Co in Hue province. Popularized by the BBC TV program Top Gear, travellers armed with selfie sticks now come in droves to tackle the route and soak in breathtaking views of the mountain and coast. Your first stop is at Thap Bang An where we will visit a 900-year old Cham tower.


The incredible Lang Co beach with white-sand beach with blue seawater capturing every visitor’s heart at first sight was recognized in 2009 as one of the 30 most beautiful bays in the world. The bay is an attractive island-like stretch of palm-shaded white sand, with a turquoise lagoon on one side and 10km of beachfront on the other.


Lap An is a brackish water area in the west of Lang Co Bay, stretching from the foot of Phu Gia Pass to Hai Van Estuary, located right in the middle of our journey from Hoi An to Hue. Surrounding the lagoon is a winding small road and in the distance, there is the majestic mountain of Bach Ma.

Besides the romantic natural scenery, Lap An Lagoon is also the habitat for many animals and aquatic plants, mostly oysters. Oysters have high nutritional value and many uses, so they are greatly favored by visitors. The local people consider oysters as “jewel of heaven” and live mainly by feeding oysters.


It is an excellent break in your journey from Hue to Hoi An or vice versa. Here, you can swim and soak in cool water or sit on the flat rocks, breathe fresh air and play many sports.
